Oncor Delivery Charge Increase (October 2026)

On October 4, 2026, Oncor’s per kWh delivery charges increased from 6.0295¢/kWh to 6.8673¢/kWh. The per month charge remains unchanged at $4.06.

Oncor is the transmission and distribution utility that serves much of Dallas-Fort Worth, North Texas, Waco, Temple, Midland, and Odessa.

How the new Oncor TDU delivery charges impact your electricity bill

Depending on your home’s electricity usage, your delivery charges could increase by 12.25% to 13.44% more per month.

At a usage of 500 kWh, the new Oncor delivery charges will cost about $38.40, while the previous rates would have cost around $34.21.

Previous Rates: 500 kWh × 6.0295¢/kWh + $4.06 = $34.21
Current Rates: 500 kWh × 6.8673¢/kWh + $4.06 = $38.40

At 1,000 kWh, the new Oncor delivery charges will cost about $72.73, and the previous rates would have cost around $64.36.

Current Rates: 1,000 kWh × 6.8673¢/kWh + $4.06 = $72.73

Why did Oncor update its delivery charges?

Oncor periodically updates its delivery charges, typically on March 1 and September 1, although the PUCT may approve updates at any point throughout the year.
