Electricity providers in Waco use complex plans that can drive up costs. Discounted rates at certain hours, bill credits, or wholesale pricing often come with hidden fees or penalties. Deviating from strict usage targets can result in higher bills. To avoid surprises, consumers should opt for fixed-rate plans with clear pricing.

As the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season approaches, many Houstonians may wonder whether they will suffer through more extended power outages like those experienced after Hurricane Beryl in 2024. We’ve got big news—BKV Energy has officially been named a Top 5 Finalist in the Houston Chronicle’s 2025 Best of the Best competition for Best Electricity Company! This recognition means the world to us, and we couldn’t have gotten here without your support. Thank you to everyone who nominated us…
So far BKV has the best rates I’ve found and no base fee. As I landlord I like the option of signing up for 3 months at locked in rate and if things go well and I get a renter in earlier it’s only a $20 month cancellation. After snowpocalypse in Texas last year people with a variable rate got astronomical bills!
BKV Energy is a good choice for electric co. I have been very pleased. They communicate via email. As busy as I am, it is nice to get emails reminding me my bill is due. Things like that. And I get rewards just for being a customer. I just received a virtual debit card worth $45. Thanks BKV.
