Sitting on the South Plains, Lubbock’s semi-arid climate swings harder than most of Texas. Here’s how each season tends to show up on your electricity bill:
No matter the season–whether it’s a bright, sunny summer day or a frigid, windy winter day in the middle of a cold snap–a fixed-rate electricity plan is generally the best option for most Lubbock homeowners and renters. In Lubbock’s deregulated energy market, enticing electricity plans often lead to higher costs. Free nights and weekends or bill credit plans compensate with inflated rates at other times. I am quite happy with BKV so far. It has been a far better experience than the one I had with Green Mountain Energy. I am crossing my fingers, hoping this is not one of those too-good-to-be-true types of experiences.
