We invited 1,100+ customers to switch to a cheaper plan

The BKV Energy team is excited to share that we’ve extended another round of Reduce Your Rate offers to eligible Bluebonnet plan and BKV Energy Plus customers!

This week, we offer over 1,100 customers the chance to switch to a plan with a more affordable energy charge in the middle of their contract for free – no need to switch providers to get a better rate.

Offers Extended: 1,140
Largest Reduction: 2.59¢ per kWh
Average Reduction: 0.51¢ per kWh

Why do we offer our customers cheaper rates before their contract ends?

BKV Energy is here to make electricity simple. We believe there is more value in keeping a customer longer at a lower rate. Let us take the stress out of energy shopping.

Electricity prices are constantly shifting, driven by weather patterns and varying costs of generating power across wind farms, solar farms, and natural gas plants.

When wholesale prices drop below what a customer is currently paying, we see an opportunity to pass those savings along by offering a switch to a more affordable plan.

This week, we reached out to 1,140 customers via email and text to let them know they could save on their energy costs. If they accept, we’ll cancel their existing plan and move them to one with a lower energy charge. No hassle required.

At BKV Energy, we don’t wait for customers to come to us. We proactively look for ways to help them save, month after month.

Who is eligible to receive Reduce Your Rate offers?

To be eligible for Reduce Your Rate, you must meet a few criteria:

Enrolled in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, OR paying for the BKV Energy Plus monthly subscription on a different plan
Must have at least 3 months of consecutive service
Account must be active and in good standing (no overdue balance)

Customers who meet these eligibility criteria are automatically reviewed for Reduce Your Rate opportunities monthly.
