We’re excited to announce that April 2026 Reduce Your Rate offers have been delivered to eligible Bluebonnet plan and BKV Energy Plus customers!

This week, we offered 741 customers the opportunity to switch to a plan with a cheaper energy charge. Mid-contract. For free.

Why do we offer Reduce Your Rate to our customers?

At BKV Energy, we believe in making electricity more transparent, more fair, and more affordable.

Electricity prices shift constantly, increasing or decreasing based on the weather and the varying cost to generate power from Texas’s wind farms, solar, farms, and natural gas plants.

With fixed rate plans, customers are already protected by increases in price. With BKV Energy’s Reduce Your Rate benefit, Texans can also take advantage of price decreases.

When the price of wholesale electricity drops below what a customer is currently paying, we look for an opportunity to pass savings along by switching customers to plans with more affordable energy charges.

This week, we contaced 741 customers via email and text to let them know they could save on their energy costs. When they accept, we cancel their existing plan and move them to one with a lower energy charge. No hassle required.

At BKV Energy, we don’t wait for customers to come to us. We proactively look for ways to help them save, month after month.

Who is eligible to receive Reduce Your Rate offers?

To be eligible for Reduce Your Rate, you must meet a few criteria:

Enrolled in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, OR paying for the BKV Energy Plus monthly subscription on a different plan
Must have at least 3 months of consecutive service
Account must be active and in good standing (no overdue balance)

Customers who meet these eligibility criteria are automatically reviewed for Reduce Your Rate opportunities monthly.
