New rate reduction offers delivered to 100s of BKV Energy customers this October

Another round of Reduce Your Rate offers is here! We’re excited to proactively offer hundreds of eligible customers on the Bluebonnet plan, or who are subscribed to BKV Energy Plus, the opportunity to switch to a cheaper rate in the middle of their contract.

Why are these customers receiving electricity rate reduction offers?

Wholesale electricity prices are always in flux.

When the current price of wholesale electricity decreases below where prices sat when a customer originally enrolled, we’re able to give them the opportunity to switch to a more affordable electricity plan.

We send emails and text messages notifying eligible customers of their rate drop opportunity. If they accept the offer, we will cancel their current plan and switch them to a plan with a cheaper energy charge.

This is the new way to shop for power, where you can get better rates without switching providers or paying a cancellation fee.

Who is eligible to receive Reduce Your Rate offers?

To be eligible for Reduce Your Rate, you must meet a few criteria:

Enrolled in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, OR paying for the BKV Energy Plus monthly subscription on a different plan
Must have at least 3 months of consecutive service
Account must be active and in good standing (no overdue balance)

Customers who meet these eligibility criteria are automatically reviewed for Reduce Your Rate opportunities monthly.
