We’re excited to announce that the September 2026 Reduce Your Rate offers have arrived!

Today we emailed over 1,200 eligible Bluebonnet plan customer and BKV Energy Plus subscribers with offers to reduce their electricity rates.

Offers Extended: 1,234
Largest Reduction: 3.60¢ per kWh
Average Reduction: 1.10¢ per kWh

Customers that accept these offers will enjoy a reduced energy charge per kWh, and they are not charged an early termination fee or other costs to make the switch.

Why we offer rate reductions to our customers

Thanks to seasonality, weather, the price of natural gas, and other factors, the cost of wholesale electricity in Texas is constantly changing.

With other providers, you’d have to pay an early termination fee to switch to take advantage of drops in market prices.

At BKV Energy, when you enroll in the Bluebonnet plan, we make it easier for customers to save when energy prices decrease through the Reduce Your Rate benefit.

Who is eligible to receive a Reduce Your Rate offer?

To be eligible for Reduce Your Rate, you must meet a few criteria:

Enrolled in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, OR paying for the BKV Energy Plus monthly subscription on a different plan
Must have at least 3 months of consecutive service
Account must be active and in good standing (no overdue balance)

Customers who meet these eligibility criteria are automatically reviewed for Reduce Your Rate opportunities monthly.
