The Houston Botanic Garden’s Bayou Blues Festival, presented by BKV Energy

The Bayou Blues Festival, presented by BKV Energy, returns to the Houston Botanic Garden in 2025. Join us on Sunday, March 9, along the scenic Sims Bayou, as we celebrate bluebonnet season with an afternoon of soulful, roots-inspired music curated by Houston’s own Annika Chambers.

Festival Lineup:

• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Lindsay Beaver
• 12:15 PM – 1:30 PM – Soul Supporters
• 1:45 PM – 3:15 PM – Carolyn Wonderland and Shelley King Duo
• 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM – Chambers DesLauriers Band presents A Tribute to Texas Blues Women

Beyond the live performances, attendees can capture photos in front of the Garden’s stunning bluebonnet field, courtesy of BKV Energy. The Family Fun Zone will offer bluebonnet-themed crafts, games, face painting, and more. Visitors can also explore a vibrant market featuring local vendors and plants from the Garden, as well as engage with select nonprofit organizations at informational booths. Festivalgoers will have full access to the Houston Botanic Garden, including the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service’s Habitat exhibit.

Food and beverages, including alcoholic options, will be available for purchase. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.

Ticket Information:

• Adults: $20
• Seniors (65+), active military, students, and children (3+): $16
• Garden Members: Eligible for general admission benefits based on membership level

Important: Bring your own lawn or camp chair. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Houston Botanic Garden provides free parking for daytime events, which take place rain or shine.
