ElectroShare is an annual customer loyalty payout distributed each November as a “thank you” to our customers who are BKV Energy Plus subscribers. BKV Energy Plus subscribers are customers on Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plans that meet all eligibility requirements, and customers on Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plans who are paying the BKV Energy Plus monthly add-on.
How does ElectroShare work?
Each November, we distribute a tenure-based customer loyalty payout to BKV Energy Plus subscribers. Eligible customers receive an email notification with a link to retrieve and activate their payout in the form of a VISA digital gift card.
Why did BKV Energy create ElectroShare?
We created ElectroShare as a way to thank and reward our customers subscribed to BKV Energy Plus for their loyalty. We know there are many choices out there when it comes to home electricity in Texas, so it means a lot to us that you’ve decided to switch and stick with BKV Energy.
How is ElectroShare different from a typical loyalty program or rebate?
ElectroShare differs from typical loyalty programs or rebates because it grows with your tenure. The longer you stay with us, the more you get paid.
Who is eligible for ElectroShare?
Who is eligible for ElectroShare?
There are a few eligibility requirements to receive an ElectroShare payout.
You must be subscribed to BKV Energy Plus. There are two ways to subscribe to BKV Energy Plus: (1) subscribe by enrolling in any Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, or (2) subscribe by enrolling in a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan with the BKV Energy Plus monthly add-on
Your account must be active
Your account must be in good standing (i.e., you must not have any overdue bill balances on your account)
You are eligible after six consecutive months of service with BKV Energy. Customers on plans with terms less than 6 months can qualify for ElectroShare if they renew service with BKV Energy and have six consecutive months of service while meeting all other requirements.
We retain the right to adjust the eligibility requirements of ElectroShare at any time at our sole discretion.
Do I have to be on a specific plan to qualify for ElectroShare?
To receive ElectroShare, you must enroll in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, or pay the BKV Energy Plus monthly add-on with a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan.
How long do I have to be a customer to be eligible to receive an ElectroShare payout?
Customers are eligible to receive ElectroShare after six consecutive months of service.
If I switch to a Bluebonnet plan mid-year or subscribe to BKV Energy Plus mid-year, do I still qualify?
Yes, you are eligible as long as you meet the requirements of six consecutive months of service and holding your account in good standing (i.e. there is no overdue balance).
Are there any requirements to stay eligible throughout the year?
Yes, in order to remain eligible, you must maintain your account in good standing. You will not receive an ElectroShare payout if you have an overdue balance.
If I move, do I still get my payout?
You are still eligible to receive ElectroShare if you move addresses, but maintain your service with BKV Energy on a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, or a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan with the BKV Energy Plus monthly add-on.

How much money can I get through ElectroShare?
The amount you will receive is directly tied to the number of months of consecutive service you have with BKV Energy. The longer you’ve been a customer, the more you will receive.
In 2024, the average payout was $43. The highest payout was $88, and the lowest payout was $22.
What factors determine my ElectroShare payout amount?
Your ElectroShare payout is determined by the number of months of consecutive service you have with BKV Energy. Payouts are also influenced by the number of active and eligible accounts you have. Additionally, you must meet all eligibility requirements to receive a payout.
Will my ElectroShare payout increase the longer I stay with BKV Energy?
Yes, the longer you stay with BKV Energy, the more you will receive.
Is there a cap on how much I can receive?
There is no limit on how much you could potentially receive.
Are ElectroShare payouts the same for every customer?
No. Customers with longer service tenure will receive more than customers who have not been with us as long. Additionally, customers with multiple active and eligible accounts will receive more than those with one active and eligible account.
How is ElectroShare calculated for each eligible customer?
After we determine the total payout amount, we calculate each customer’s individual payout by following this process:
Customers with multiple eligible accounts will receive $10 per additional account. For example, a customer with 3 accounts will receive $20. The sum of these additional account distributions is subtracted from the total payout.
Next, we calculate the total months of tenure across all eligible customers. For example, if we had only 5 customers who had each been customers for 12 months, there would be 60 total months of tenure.
The total payout (less the additional account distributions from step 1) is divided by the total months of tenure.
Each customer then receives the amount from step 3 multiplied by their months of tenure (plus any additional account distributions from step 1).
We retain the right to adjust the calculation methodology at any time at our sole discretion.

Will the payout come as a check, bill credit, prepaid card, or something else?
The payout comes in the form of a digital VISA gift card. We retain the right to adjust the payout format at any time at our sole discretion.
Do I need to take any action to claim my payout?
To claim your ElectroShare payout, you must check your email inbox and click a link to activate your VISA digital gift card.
How does ElectroShare impact my contract and plan?
Does participating in ElectroShare impact my other benefits, like Reduce Your Rate?
Receiving an ElectroShare payout does not impact your other BKV Energy Plus benefits.
What happens if I cancel or switch plans before the payout?
If you cancel service with BKV Energy, you will not receive a payout. If you switch providers, you will not receive a payout. If you switch plans but maintain service with BKV Energy and maintain your BKV Energy Plus subscription, you will still be eligible for a payout as long as you meet all of the other requirements.
