What is BKV Energy Plus?
BKV Energy Plus is a premium membership program offered to BKV Energy customers that includes valuable benefits to enhance their electricity experience. See the BKV Energy Plus terms and conditions here.
What benefits come with BKV Energy Plus?
BKV Energy Plus includes the following benefits:
- Reduce Your Rate: When electricity prices drop, we notify you with a new, lower rate in the middle of your contract. Switch to the new, cheaper contract at no cost and enjoy.
- ElectroShare: Annual loyalty payout each November. The longer you stick with us, the more you get paid.
- VoltPoints: 25 reward points per month. Use them to win fun prizes like gift cards, smart TVs, and laptops. One lucky customer wins $1,000 every month.
- 30-Day Power Pilot: Try BKV Energy for 30 days risk-free. If you decide to cancel within the first 30 days of your contract, we will not charge an early termination fee.
- Save Now Pay Later: Skip one bill per 12-month period and pay it off in equal chunks over the following six months with 0% interest. Bill payment flexibility!
- Contract Consultation: Chat with an energy expert and get advice on exactly when to renew based on wholesale market conditions, weather, and more.
Why was the name changed from Premier+ to BKV Energy Plus?
We changed the name of our benefits program because we wanted the name to better reflect who’s behind the program (us!) and how it fits into our bigger mission of being the most rewarding electricity provider in Texas.
Is the BKV Energy Plus program optional or automatically included?
That depends on your choices while enrolling in a plan with BKV Energy.
- If you enroll in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, then BKV Energy Plus membership and benefits are automatically included with your plan at no cost.
- If you enroll in a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan, then you can access BKV Energy Plus membership and benefits by opting in to pay the BKV Energy Plus monthly add-on.
Pricing and billing
How much does BKV Energy Plus cost?
- If you sign up for a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, then BKV Energy Plus membership and benefits are free. You do not have to pay any fees or add-ons to access or take advantage of the benefits.
- If you sign up for a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan, then BKV Energy Plus membership and benefits cost $9.99 per month.
How is the fee charged—monthly, annually, or upfront?
The BKV Energy Plus monthly add-on (for Daisy, Verbena, and Lantana customers who have opted in to pay the fee) is charged monthly on your bill.
Will I see the charge as a separate line item on my bill?
Yes, the BKV Energy Plus monthly add-on appears as a separate line item on your bill.
Are BKV Energy Plus fees refundable if I cancel?
If you cancel your Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan with BKV Energy within the first 30 days of your contract, we will refund the BKV Energy Plus fees.
If you cancel your BKV Energy Plus membership within the first 30 days of your contract on a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan, we will refund the BKV Energy Plus fees.
If you decide to cancel your BKV Energy Plus membership after the first 30 days of your contract on a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan, the BKV Energy Plus fees are non-refundable.
If you are on a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, you receive BKV Energy Plus membership and benefits at no cost, and there is nothing to refund.

What is the Reduce Your Rate benefit, and how does it work?
Reduce Your Rate is a benefit that allows eligible BKV Energy Plus members to take advantage of changing wholesale electricity market prices in the middle of their current contract. What is the ElectroShare benefit, and how does it work?
ElectroShare is a benefit that rewards eligible BKV Energy Plus members annually for their loyalty with a payout each November. The longer you maintain your eligibility, the more you get paid. To learn more about ElectroShare, read the ElectroShare FAQ.
What is the VoltPoints benefit, and how does it work?
VoltPoints is a benefit that distributes eligible BKV Energy Plus members 25 reward points per month. Participants can use reward points to enter daily, weekly, and monthly giveaways for prizes including laptops, smart TVs, Bluetooth earbuds, and more. One lucky customer wins $1000 per month. What is the 30-Day Power Pilot benefit, and how does it work?

What is the Save Now Pay Later benefit, and how does it work?
Save Now Pay Later is a benefit for eligible BKV Energy Plus members that allows them to skip their next bill and pay it off in equal installments over the following six months without a down payment or interest. To learn more about Save Now Pay Later, read the Save Now Pay Later FAQ.
What is the Contract Consultation benefit, and how does it work?
Contract Consultation is a benefit for eligible BKV Energy Plus members that provides guidance on which plan and when to renew at the end of your contract. Schedule a meeting with an energy expert at BKV Energy to review market conditions, seasonality, and weather, and their impact on electricity rates. Are there any additional perks, rewards, or protections included?
Occasionally, we may offer additional benefits to BKV Energy Plus members, such as free tickets to local events. Keep an eye on your inbox for these extra benefits, as tickets are often limited and are claimed very quickly. These additional benefits are not guaranteed.
Eligibility and enrollment
Who can sign up for BKV Energy Plus?
Customers enrolled in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan are automatically signed up for BKV Energy Plus at no cost. Customers on Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plans can also sign up for BKV Energy Plus with the monthly add-on.
Customers on the Hydrangea plan are not eligible to sign up for BKV Energy Plus.
How do I enroll in BKV Energy Plus?
Customers who sign up for the Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan are automatically enrolled in BKV Energy Plus.
To enroll in BKV Energy Plus on a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan, check the toggle for BKV Energy Plus benefits to “Yes” when enrolling on our website.
If you are enrolling over the phone, simply tell the agent that you would like to sign up for BKV Energy Plus and they will handle the rest.
Can I add BKV Energy Plus to my plan after I’ve already signed up?
If you would like to enroll in BKV Energy Plus after signing up, please contact our customer support team and they can enable your membership. The fee will be added to your next bill.
Can I have BKV Energy Plus on any BKV Energy plan?
No, we are not able to offer BKV Energy Plus to customers on the Hydrangea plan.
Cancellation and changes
Can I cancel BKV Energy Plus at any time?
If you are enrolled in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan, there is no need to cancel BKV Energy Plus. Simply stop taking advantage of the benefits. There is no cost associated with BKV Energy Plus when you are enrolled in a Bluebonnet or Bluebonnet Green plan.
How do I cancel BKV Energy Plus?
To cancel BKV Energy Plus when enrolled in a Daisy, Verbena, or Lantana plan, please contact our customer support team and inform them of your decision. They will handle the rest, and your future bills will no longer include the add-on fee.
What happens to my benefits if I cancel?
If you cancel BKV Energy Plus, you will lose access to your benefits immediately.
If I cancel, can I rejoin later?
Yes, you can rejoin later after cancelling. Contact the customer support team and they will handle the rest.
Membership and management
How can I confirm if I’m enrolled in BKV Energy Plus?
There are a few ways to tell if you’re enrolled in BKV Energy Plus.
- When logging into the customer portal, you will see a REWARDS link in the main navigation menu.
- You can contact the customer support team via email at [email protected] to confirm.
- After enrolling, you will begin to receive emails from the VoltPoints portal notifying you when you receive points.
Where can I view my benefits in the customer portal?
You can view your benefits by clicking the REWARDS menu item in the main navigation.
What happens if I switch plans mid-contract?
If you switch providers mid-contract, you will lose access to your BKV Energy Plus membership immediately.
If you switch plans but stay with BKV Energy, your BKV Energy Plus membership will stay intact as long as you are on a Bluebonnet plan, a Bluebonnet Green plan, or continue to pay the BKV Energy Plus monthly add-on.
What are the long-term benefits of maintaining a BKV Energy Plus membership?
There are several benefits to maintaining your BKV Energy Plus membership.
- ElectroShare: The longer you’re an eligible BKV Energy Plus member, the more you will get rewarded from ElectroShare. For example, customers who have retained their membership for 36 months will receive larger payouts than customers who have been members for 12 months.
- Reduce Your Rate: We’re always looking out for you to help you find a lower rate. The longer you stick with us, the more likely it is that you will receive Reduce Your Rate offers.
- VoltPoints: You earn 25 points per month every month as long as you maintain your BKV Energy Plus membership. With more points, you can enter more giveaways, and your chances of winning prizes increase.
